Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards, and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42502185) and the date (1/6/1442), in which the letter of the Public Transport Authority is referred to No. (4754/42/1) and the date (5/15/1442), which contains it To Cabinet Decision No. (566) dated (9/10/1438) judge in Paragraph (Second) on the “Public Transport Authority - in coordination with the Ministry of Labor and Social Development - to take the necessary measures regarding limiting the practice of passenger transport activity by directing Vehicles with smart applications must be applied to Saudis and to raise what requires action in its regard, "and where coordination was made with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development regarding what was stated in the Cabinet Resolution referred to above, and the following was reached:
-Restricting the taxi directive service to smart applications to Saudis.
-Granting private taxi establishments a deadline ending at the end of the calendar year 2019 to work with taxi directing facilities with non-Saudi drivers.
-Granting a deadline for public taxi facilities ending at the end of the calendar year 2020 to work with taxi directing facilities with non-Saudi drivers.
Accordingly, the Council hopes that investors in public taxi facilities will not work with taxi steering facilities with vehicles driven by non-Saudis, as of the beginning of the calendar year 2021.
